Been following you on IG for a handful of years and I'm so glad I came across your Substack. I don't know how I missed it. It's funny to think that in almost every arena of life, as time has progressed, the human race has gotten faster, stronger, more intelligent, etc. But when it comes to the spiritual practices, it seems we have regressed in deep and profound ways.
I can feel that same draw in my life-recently being out of cell service for a couple of days in the woods was so peaceful and rejuvenating. (And the birdsong was amazing, the quietness of the early morning so refreshing.) This is something I will meditate on. Thanks for sharing and keep us posted.
Looking forward to following your journey. I gave this a try a few years ago. Switched to a flip phone for a month. But since my first cell phone was an iphone, I never learned to t-9 text, and I grossly underestimated how much texting had become a primary means of communication both in my life but also in my job. So after a month I went back to my Iphone. But I have been considering giving it another go and trying it for long enough to get over the "inconvenience" hump so that the slow but strong pros of being disconnected outweigh the quick cons of being inconvenienced - which I suppose is what it is really all about.
Crazy to to read this because i just recently deleted all of my social media and had previously followed you on instagram and loved your art and concepts that you study and talk about and then I downloaded this app and I found you again! Your work is thought provoking and spiritually inspiring and I’m curious to see your results.

Thankful for this post brother!
I will be expectantly awaiting an update after a while—I am teetering on the brink of changing over myself. Godspeed. May your time with him be rich.
