Creepy, but intriguing-not sure if I would want to read more. I think for the sake of sleeping well, I would say no.

Woah. The narrative style, like your book, expertly portrays THOUGHTS. They become tangible creatures. Simple but never shallow. Imaginative but not theatrical. Full of emotion but devoid of fluff. What a blessing to be invited into this character's thoughts in this way. I'd pre-order this book right now!

Thanks my man - I’ve been working really hard at that feeling. It’s when we’re most ourselves - so to capture it 🤌🤌

May have to give this another read to see if I can figure out the meanings and symbolism. I’d be interested to read more short stories

This might be a small note, but I feel like the line about “stale cigarettes and diner coffee” kind of pulls me out of the story a bit - if a person smokes regularly would they have stale cigarettes? And in the age of the smart phone, isn’t an Uber driver or Lyft driver more likely to get coffee at a gas station or a 7-Eleven if they’re working through the night?

“You cannot escape destiny, you can only choose how you experience it.” 👌 It reminds me a bit of I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak. Loved it, can’t wait for more fiction!

I liked reading it! Made my heart feel nervous. Reminded me a teensy bit of Jujutsu Kaisen (lol) and Dr. Faustus and the reality of the human heart and evil as explained by the Bible. The animal references were interesting to me. The ideas of desperation, manipulation, deprivation, hunger, longing, control, compromise, and worship stood out to me. I have a lot of questions but you didn't ask us to share questions - take that as a good sign.
